Bogota Police Traffic Bureau

The Bogota Police Department Traffic Bureau is composed of four officers and a supervisor. The supervisor Sergeant Geoffrey Cole and Sergeant Thomas Riedel, Detective Devin Rivera, Officer Kevin Geraghty and Officer Michael Laferrera have specialized skills to conduct many different aspects of traffic enforcement, investigate serious motor vehicle crashes and assist the Bergen County Prosecutors Office in reconstructing fatal motor vehicle crashes.

 

Additionally, Bogota Police Traffic Officers mainly focus on educating the public in pedestrian and motorist safety, so that everyone travelling throughout the borough is able to safely and conveniently maneuver.

 

Special programs for child passenger safety seats, DWI enforcement, speeding, commercial vehicle enforcement, seatbelt compliance and pedestrian safety are also specialties that the traffic officers have.
