Bogota Police Traffic Bureau
The Bogota Police Department Traffic Bureau is composed of several officers and two supervisors. Each traffic bureau member has specialized skills to conduct many different aspects of traffic enforcement, specialized training to investigate serious motor vehicle crashes and the ability to assist the Bergen County Prosecutors Office in reconstructing fatal motor vehicle crashes.
Additionally, Bogota Police Traffic Officers mainly focus on educating the public in pedestrian and motorist safety, so that everyone travelling throughout the borough is able to safely and conveniently maneuver.
Special programs for child passenger safety seats, DWI enforcement, criminal interdiction, speeding, commercial vehicle enforcement, seatbelt compliance and pedestrian safety are also specialties that the traffic officers have.
